Privacy Policy

The protection of your personal data is of major significance to us. It is therefore important to us that when you use our website, the reporting form and during any subsequent consultation with RIAS Hessen, the processing of personal data always complies with the legal requirements for the protection of such data, and that you are informed at all times about your associated rights and can make use of them.

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the legal data protection regulations and our data protection declaration.

In general, it is possible to use our website without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (for example, name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent.

We point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can generally be subject to security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Cookies

The internet pages partly use so-called Cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective and even safer. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after you close the browser. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit. You can set the function in your browser in a way that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Server-LogFiles

The provider of the website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and version
  • Used operating system
  • referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of server request

This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of illegal use.

Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your data from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

Matomo

The websites of the Beratungsnetzwerk Hessen and thus also of RIAS Hessen use the analysis software Matomo (formerly: Piwik), with which user requests can be statistically evaluated. Matomo sets several cookies on your computer to identify you – in anonymous form – as a returning user of our pages. In addition, Matomo collects information about the browser used, operating system settings (screen resolution), entry and exit pages and the length of stay. In addition to the options described above to control the setting of cookies via the web browser, you can generally activate the so-called “Do Not Track signaling” in your web browser.

If you do not agree to the storage and use of your data, you can deactivate the storage and use here. In this case, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser, which prevents Matomo from storing usage data. If you delete your cookies, this will have the effect that the Matomo opt-out cookie will also be deleted. The opt-out must be reactivated when you visit our site again.
It is here in German language, The translation is the following:
“You have the option to prevent actions you take here from being analyzed and linked. This will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and improving the usability for you and other users. Your visit to this website is currently collected by Matomo web analytics. Deselect this checkbox for opt-out.”

SSL-Encryption

This site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests that you send to us as site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
